Here you will find a collection of powerful mini stories documented from the close and careful observation of daily life in an infant and toddler classroom. These mini stories give visibility to the thinking and learning processes of the young child, in particular highlighting their incredible competencies and intelligence toward human connection. We believe that the mini story format told through a photo narrative has the power to bring such competencies to light in the way that they capture a process unfolding one snap shot at a time. Unlike video where the process unfolding moves in continuous motion, a photo narrative offers us the opportunity to pause and slow down through each photo in order to carefully study and reflect upon the nuances of each moment in relation to the whole process that may otherwise get lost in the movement of a video.
