About Lori Ryan (Edit profile)

Dr. Lori Ryan is a professor of early childhood education in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. Her teaching, research, coaching, and consulting focus on building the capacity of early childhood educators and leaders to co-create inclusive and culturally affirming learning communities. Lori serves as faculty lead for the Boulder Journey School graduate teacher education program. Her April 2026 edited volume, Learning with the Pedagogy of Reggio Emilia: Innovative Approaches to Early Childhood and Teacher Education, is published by Teachers College Press.
